Poetic Recovery Open Mic is for the brave!
I don't promote weed or alcohol for my events because they are designed to encourage us to learn how to deal with our issues not ignore them. Those that want to grow through their pain and become part of a growing community come to our events.
We share space we don't judge each other harshly, we use constructive criticism. This is designed to make us better so we can help change society for the better. We build bridges to different communities erase racism and cultural oppression and exploitation.
We use love as the foundation of our connection to encourage healing.
Some people have been through so much that the work love is a scary things, some feel like it keeps us vulnerable but if you have boundaries and respect your own boundaries you will ok. Come find yourself with us at Poetic Recovery where we us writing as a tool for self discovery and recovery.
