Hi everyone it's me Liz Filomeno "Poet Emissary" I just wanted to come by and share some poetry, and let you all know I will be back soon I have been going through some major life changes and personal sacrifices are always necessary when life puts us in positions where difficult decisions have to be made...

Readjusting, rebuilding, reassessing your core values to fit your new situations whatever they are, will always take precedence over everything else no matter how life was before you had to ascend. Growth just does that to us. The people and things we once were so comfortable with become either a learning experience, a source of inspiration or an anchor we no longer need. Some will move with us and some will move against us but either way they will move, the question is who will do what? That's when the measure of commitment and loyalty will reveal itself individual growth is necessary but everything we deemed needed is not, in the end life, growth and love determines all...

Reflecting in Nature's Wonders

I close my eyes and listen for sights and sounds

As if the world just stopped
I'm surrounded by brief silence
peace comes at the loss of sight all sights unseen

Yet I'm not lost in the darkness
In fact I have never seen anything clearer

My sight is hindered
My ears are my eyes and I can see the sounds

I can hear the birds fly by
I can hear the flutter of their wings

I can hear the chirps as they communicate with each other
and the wind is blowing through the trees
I can almost understand what they are saying but I don't want to come to any conclusions...

Then I hear it there are baby birds
Clear as day
They are calling for their mother
They are hungry
I follow the cries and see the nest outside my bedroom window
I can see them now and there are 5 little beaks just piercing through the opening of the nest
They look so fragile featherless and gentle and beautiful

I am amazed at how nature at it's best is so beautiful and just seems to happen
how it just always takes it's course
how if you just take a moment to close your eyes and listen life and nature will hold nothing back and reveal itself and all their secrets

I've never seen anything so beautiful and this is how life should be...

It's OK to stand in the dark
to listen to life
to sit back close your eyes
to take in the sounds

Eyes wide shut you're not lost it is at that moment that you are most alive...
