Bio
Petitzil Michelet known as Pizaro is a visual artist based in Vitré, especially recognized for his market scenes, an optical illusion and at the same time abstract, his scenes of Raras, invocations and especially his expressionist abstracts.
 
He knows "a science of nature" a nature where the trees speak, the birds whisper secrets to the ear and to the eyes. In its jungles we get lost, we find ourselves, guided by paths of symbols from Haitian voodoo: the vèvès.
 
His painting and texts explore Haitian African roots, vibrant colors and mystical aspects of spirituality, merging words and images to express his unique vision. When colors scream, they generate all kinds of expressions, images and styles, because art is a continuity of inspiration, he says?
His work has been exhibited worldwide in various venues and art galleries, including the expression galerie d’art Haiti 2011, galerie de arteajoute, calle Mellia St Domingue, RD 2008. le centre d’art 2013 Haiti, at the Hôtel Ibolélé 2015, Hôtel de ville à Pétion-Ville 2015. Pizaro also collaborated with American entrepreneur Benjamin Wilson in 2014 in a clothing project, Yanvalou Design.
