This is my experience as an experienced nurse working before and during the pandemic. Ever since the pandemic I feel like I'm working super short and working on higher acuity units I have no working experience in making it feel like I'm putting my license at risk. I'm seeing more burnout and apathy amongst other healthcare staff. Yes I've made double the amount of money working as a travel nurse than a staff nurse but I don't think I want to work in the bedside for very long with how upper management sets unrealistic expectations on nurses.
