Social determinants are the conditions that prevent poor people from obtaining optimum social status due systematic oppression. Although the issues from different poor communities such as poverty, sexism, gender varies. We must be open to the reality of these difference if we are to solve the issues. This discussion is designed to create space to include the determinants in Black communities that are denied and kept our of publica conversations.
How can we work together to create and protect resources within our communities so they we can educate everyone that chooses to live in and support our communities. How do you see these issues playing out? what solutions do you think we can create, and how do you think we can protect these solutions and resources from systematic and terrorist threats such as the bombing of Black wall streets, and the recent attack in buffalo so that we can obtain optimum social status.
According to the The https://www.brookings.edu/ "the U.S. educational system is one of the most unequal in the industrialized world, and students routinely receive dramatically different learning opportunities based on their social status. In contrast to European and Asian nations that fund schools centrally and equally, the wealthiest 10 percent of U.S. school districts spend nearly 10 times more than the poorest 10 percent, and spending ratios of 3 to 1 are common within states."
